The brain behind SWIFTER SOUND
Hans de Jong is an Audio and Recording Engineer and has played piano and synthesizer in various bands for more than 40 years.
Lately he has focused more on the recording process, mixing and mastering different styles of music.
Fun and pleasure are of paramount importance when working in his home studio.
Hans has 'golden ears' which lead to amazing results comparable to the projects of professional studios.
Equipment
Large recordings can be made to a studio where an entire band can be recorded at once.
A lot of music can also be recorded in the Swiftersound studio.
This makes a huge difference in costs.
The recordings are subsequently edited with the most advanced software available at the moment.
Hans opinion:

Many producers still think that working with analog equipment leads to a much better result than mixing the recordings with digital software.
I draw a comparison with photography. With the advent of the digital camera, the professional photographers were 'not amused' about the results, and swore by the analog cameras and development processes in dark rooms. In the beginning they were right, but now almost no photographer works without a digital camera.
This also currently applies to the mixing process. Digital plug-ins make room for the 19 inch analog effects racks and are indispensable in the current mixing process. The only drawback of digital mixing is that the studio looks a lot duller without all these power-hungry effects cabinets.

The concept

How do we usually get to work:
1. Meet and discuss wishes
First of all, we plan a consultation to discuss the wishes with you or the band. Usually there is already an idea or elaborated arrangement, but it also happens that there is only an idea or lyrics. We can then help with one or more arrangements, or even supply a complete orchestra band that has been recorded in the studio by professional musicians.
2. The recording
As mentioned earlier, a lot can be recorded in the Swiftersoundstudio. Sometimes a band chooses to
record everything at once, and then they have to move to a larger studio that also has extra costs.
3. The mix
In the studio, the mix is worked out and discussed with the customer. In this process, he can still make adjustments so that the mix meets his / her wishes.
4. The master
During this process, some details are finely ground in the studio and the song is brought to the correct volume and made ready for production.
5. Graphic design
If you want to release the song on CD or vinyl, we can help with the graphic design of the CD and the cover so that they can be uploaded to a CD press shop.
